After you apply
The admissions process begins when you apply to a program and ends once you鈥檝e met the admission requirements and accepted an offer to the program. When you accept your offer, you become an admitted student and you can move on to the registration process. If you鈥檙e conditionally admitted, you still must submit any outstanding admission requirements.
When contacting us, always include your OC ID number, your full name, and the program and campus you鈥檝e applied to in the subject line of your email. This information helps us to provide faster service.

Step 1 - Submit required items
Admissions will send you an email informing you of outstanding items and deadlines. Depending on when you apply, we might not ask for all admission requirements at once. Only submit items that are requested in your email.
Review the email and submit any requested items. Once the academic admission requirements are met, we will request any additional documents.
Failure to list all institutions you attended on your application may be considered an intentional omission.
Failure to list all institutions or to provide transcripts for all institutions attended may lead to the cancellation of your application for admission or the withdrawal of your offer of admission.

How to submit a transcript and interims
When Admissions asks for your transcripts, access
- Select 91大香蕉全集 as the post-secondary institution to send to.
- If you鈥檙e a current high school student, select: Send Interim and Final Marks when they become available.
Your transcript will be sent immediately to 91大香蕉全集 electronically from the Ministry of Education. If you鈥檙e a current high school student, we will request an update at the end of the academic school year for your final transcript.
If you last attended school between 1974-1985, contact your secondary school for your transcript.
Applied to more than one campus or program?
If you have applied to more than one campus or program, you only need to submit your final transcript once.

Final official transcripts should be sent directly to 91大香蕉全集 by the Ministry of Education of your province or territory, or by your school or school board for Ontario students. Search online鈥痜or transcript ordering instructions from your province鈥檚 Ministry of Education to learn how to request an official transcript.
Transcripts must come directly from the Ministry of Education or other official issuing body to be accepted as official.
Applied to more than one campus or program?
If you have applied to more than one campus or program, you only need to submit your final transcript once.鈥
Admissions may request your transcript from another college or university. They may also contact the post-secondary institution you attended to request your official transcript.
To be considered official, the transcript must be sent directly to 91大香蕉全集 by the issuing institution; mailed, emailed or other electronic delivery can be accepted. Transcripts delivered in person by the applicant must be in the original envelope sealed by the issuing institution to be considered official.
Currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution?
If you are currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution and an interim transcript has been requested, you鈥檙e welcome to email an unofficial transcript as a starting point. Admissions will let you know if an official interim transcript is required. Once your final grades are released, you鈥檒l need to submit a final, official transcript by the deadline set by Admissions.
Currently enrolled in high school
An interim high school transcript of grades is required. B.C. high school students may order transcripts through the . For out of province applicants, interim transcripts through your school district or directly from your school are accepted.
We also require interim grades for courses that you are currently enrolled in. This must be collected directly from your school. Speak with your high school counsellor or office to have these interim transcripts emailed as a PDF attachment to admissions@okanagan.bc.ca.
The deadline date to submit your interim transcript for the September start is February 28 by 4:30 p.m.
The deadline date to submit your interim transcript for the January start is July 31 by 4:00 p.m.
Please make sure that:
- All final and/or interim grades have been submitted for all academic courses. If interim Grade 12 grades are not available, please submit final Grade 11 grades.
- If not, see each of your teachers and have them enter the current grade percentage and initial beside their entry on the transcript.
- Take back to your school counsellor or office and have them submit the interim by one of the methods listed above.
- These grades must be submitted by the high school in any one of the methods listed above. Anything submitted that has been opened by the student will not be accepted.
Every academic course must have a grade (either an interim or a final grade). If there is no grade, the GPA cannot be calculated and you would then be considered inadmissible. Your application will be cancelled. Cancelled applications will not be reactivated.
Currently enrolled in only adult basic education courses
An interim transcript of grades is required.
The deadline date to have your interim grades submitted for September start is February 28 by 4:30 p.m.
The deadline date to submit your interim transcript for January start is July 31 by 4:00 p.m.
Have your post-secondary institution professor, instructor or teacher submit a pdf attachment to admissions@okanagan.bc.ca any and all ABE interim percentage grades. For Biology courses, this percentage grade must also include the lab.
Please make sure that:
- You see each of your teachers, instructors or professors to have them submit your interim ABE grade(s) by the method above.
- These grades must be submitted by the secondary/post-secondary institution. Anything coming otherwise will not be accepted.

Currently enrolled post-secondary students with upgrading courses
For the September intake Interim grades are only required for upgrading courses. The deadline date to have your interim grades submitted is February 28 by 4:30 p.m.
For the January intake Interim grades are only required for upgrading courses. The deadline date to have your interim grades submitted is July 31 by 4:00 p.m.
Have your post-secondary institution submit an official final or interim transcript showing final grades for courses completed and interim grades for courses in progress.
Have your post-secondary institution professor or instructor, or teacher submit by pdf attachment to admissions@okanagan.bc.ca any and all course interim percentage grades. For Biology and Chemistry courses, this percentage grade must also include the lab.
Please make sure that:

Step 2 - Accept your offer
Your offer of admission will give a deadline to accept your offer and pay the tuition deposit. You must complete both steps to be admitted and secure your seat.
- To accept your offer of admission, go to > View my applications and find the term and application you want. Accept your offer.
- Pay your non-refundable tuition deposit. The amount and deadline can both be found in your offer of admission email. You can pay your deposit in person with debit or cash, using online banking, or using PayMyTuition. More details on payment options can be found here.
Some applicants, like current high school students, are offered conditional admission. You have a seat in the program but still need to meet the admission requirements by the deadline.
Deposit information
The deposit amounts below are for domestic student admission. Beginning Summer 2025, a second deposit is no longer required for any program.鈥
- $500 tuition deposit for Access to Practical Nursing, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer programs (Mechanical and Structures), Animation Diploma, Computer Information Systems Diploma and Degree, all Engineering Technologies programs and Practical Nursing
- No tuition deposit for admission to Foundational programs such as Adult Upgrading, English as a Second Language (Domestic), Accessible Education and Training
- $200 tuition deposit for all other programs
Step 3 - Submit additional required items for admission
All additional required items can be emailed to admissions@okanagan.bc.ca, unless otherwise indicated.
Please wait until you are requested by Admissions to fulfill these requirements.
Additional details on how to apply for a criminal record check will be provided if you receive an offer of admission, or earlier in certain situations. RCMP or police checks are not accepted for admission purposes. Do not initiate any criminal record check until you receive instructions from Admissions.

- Proof of meeting current provincial immunization policies and guidelines by completing the 91大香蕉全集 Immunization Record Form. Applicants are advised that, if they are unable to provide proof of immunization they may be restricted and/or excluded from clinical practice.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials (WHMIS) provincial course completion.

- Health Care Assistant Practice in BC E-Learning Modules completion.

Additional Information
In addition to the academic courses required for ranking in the Practical Nursing Program, applicants will be required to complete the PNUR 113 course with a minimum grade of 70 per cent .

Prerequisite: A minimum grade of 67 per cent in a Grade 12 Biology course which includes human anatomy and physiology or an equivalent Provincial Level Adult Basic Education Biology course. However, students with a minimum grade of 80 per cent in Biology 11 or an equivalent Advanced Level Adult Basic Education Biology course may take Biology 12 as a corequisite.

Low English or Math admit
Prior Learning Assessments (PLA) are available to students that apply to a program and that have some training or other non-formal experience in the area of the chosen program. For instance, if you have been a chef running a kitchen for a few years and decide to come to 91大香蕉全集 for some formal culinary training, you may apply for a PLA on the basis of your years of experience. You may be granted credit for some of the courses in the program based on your experience.
PLA is available for some of courses in the following programs: Administrative Assistant Certificate, Health Care Assistant, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, Continuing Studies, Computer Science and Early Childhood Education.
Please contact the chair of the department that administers your program to determine which courses are available for PLA.
Note that students currently in high school very rarely have the experience necessary to be successful in a PLA.

A Visiting Student at 91大香蕉全集 is a student who is currently undertaking a program of degree completion at another accredited post-secondary institution.
- Students are admitted based on a Letter of Permission from the home institution and are permitted to register in specific 91大香蕉全集 courses as listed in the Letter of Permission.
- The Letter of Permission must state the session and year for which it is valid and is valid for one academic year only. And proof of satisfying all course prerequisites.
- If subsequent sessions are required, a new Letter of Permission must be submitted.
- No transfer credit will be awarded by 91大香蕉全集. The home institution will award the credit dependent on completion requirements.
