Waitlist status

Students will be notified if a course is waitlisted in three ways: through web registration, while searching for courses, or by receiving a schedule email from 91´óÏ㽶ȫ¼¯.

Step-by-step instructions

If the course you want to register for is waitlisted, you need to add yourself to the waitlist.

Important note: When a seat becomes available, you'll get an email. You have 24 hours to claim your seat. If you don't register in time, you'll be removed from the waitlist and the seat will be offered to the next student.

Step 1: Waitlisting when registering online
When registering for courses online at 91´óÏ㽶ȫ¼¯, you might see an error message saying the class is full. Don't worry! You can still join the waitlist if there's space available.

Step 2: Checking waitlist status while browsing classes
When browsing classes online at OC, you can see if a class has a waitlist. If the class is full, you have two options:

  • Select another section (if available)
  • Join the waitlist for the course

When looking up classes you will see:

Step 3: Getting off the waitlist: What to do next

When a seat opens up, you’ll get an email letting you know. You can then:
Register online (if eligible).

  1. Visit the registration office on campus for help
  2. If you're "block" registered, 91´óÏ㽶ȫ¼¯ will automatically register you in the updated section and email you a new schedule.
